GDPR & Your Data Rights
Last updated: 2026-09-27
We are committed to protecting your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This notice summarises your rights and how to exercise them. The data controller is METACODER SRL (see the Privacy Policy for full details).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access - get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification - correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure - have your personal data deleted (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability - receive your data in a portable format.
- Restriction & objection - limit or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent - for processing based on consent, such as device location and push notifications.
Built into the app
You don’t have to wait on a request for the most common actions - they’re built into your profile page in both apps:
- Export your data - download a copy of the personal information associated with your account, including the ratings service businesses gave you.
- Delete your account - permanently remove your account. On deletion we erase or anonymise your personal data: your identity details are scrubbed, the content and data of your messages and notifications are removed, your uploaded chat images are deleted, your device tokens are retired, and your sign-in account with our identity provider is deleted. This action is irreversible.
Separately from account deletion, some data is deleted or anonymised automatically after fixed periods, which the privacy policy lists.
Notification and location data
Push notifications and device location are used only with your consent and can be turned off at any time from the app’s permissions screen or your device settings. Turning off a notification type keeps items in your in-app inbox but stops the push.
How to exercise your rights
Use the in-app export and deletion tools, or contact us at cm.metacoder@gmail.com. To object to a rating a service business gave you, write to the same address and tell us which one; the privacy policy explains how these ratings work. We will respond within the time limits required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP).
